Why Mud?
A message from Clayton Early Learning:
Clayton Early Learning celebrates International Mud Day because we know the first five years are the most important time in a child’s development, with more than one million new neural connections formed every second, setting the foundation for future language development, which is the key to literacy and life-long learning.
Along with the ABCs of preschool, we know that sensory experiences like slopping and squishing in mud, for example, light up developing brains and turn simple moments of play into serious learning opportunities. It’s a joyful learning experience that also leads to healthier immune systems, emotional health and creativity, and the development of tactile skills through sensory play.
